Is it possible to download an ISO file for a Windows Server R2 Standard Dell OEM installation disc? I've searched in the usual places Dell's website and Googlebut can't find anything. I guess they want you to buy it with the server? My new server was delivered yesterday morning. I got straight on the phone to technical support and they sent me out a DVD, which arrived by courier this morning.

In most cases you are much better off buying your MS server licensing from another vendor or at least staying away from OEM licenses or ROK's, as OEM licenses are only supported by the OEM and are not transferrable to a new system at all, ever; whereas a retail channel license can be moved and reassigned as needed. It seems that the consensus is that it's not worth bothering with Windows Server OEM licenses that can be purchased along with new servers - Volume licenses offer more flexibility at nearly the same cost.

Then just download the trial version and inject the drivers.
