Nice book. Report abuse. Schweren Herzens kann ich nur 2 Sterne geben. Obwohl die Bilder absolut zum anbeißen aussehen und zum sofort loslegen motivieren, werden einem durch in Deutschland schwer zu beschaffenden Zutaten immer wieder Steine in den Weg gelegt.
Wer Inspiration sucht wie er seinen Mexikanischen Abend mal etwas anders gestalten kann ist hier mit Sicherheit gut aufgehoben, blutige Anfänger die sich weder mit Masa noch den Teils exotischen Zutaten auskennen sollten in meinen Augen doch lieber die Finger davon lassen. Als jemand der mit der mexikanischen Küche wenig vertraut ist, war dieses Buch leider ein Reinfall.
Ich hätte mir viel mehr Anleitung und Hintergrundwissen gewünscht. Für Personen die jedoch mit der Küche vertraut sind oder sich nicht einschüchtern lassen ist dieses Buch jedoch bestimmt gut geeignet.
Schade ist leider auch dass ein Großteil der Rezepte sehr zeitintensiv sind und sich kaum um Translate review to English. This is not a book for beginners. However, it is very useful for someone who plans to cook 'Mexican' as opposed to 'TexMex'. The 'house' recipes provide a basis for making ingredients that are used in later recipes. Very useful for someone who can not always access the ingredients for true Mexican cooking.
The book then gives more detailed recipes for small plates and large plates. They are clearly written and easy to follow in you have had some experience in Mexican cooking.
