Hi everyone - I'm in the process of moving from a Mac to a PC long story, 4k video editing blah, blah and i have downloaded all 38GB of iCloud Photos onto my PC using iCloud for Windows. I have set the Pictures folder in my user accounts to be the folder download album from icloud get downloaded into off iCloud, the problem i'm download album from icloud is that after downloading everything, it sorts it by year, but i have a very lengthy and descriptive set of hundreds of Albums that i made starting back in the iPhoto on my Mac Pro.
Is there a easy way to have Microsoft Photos recognize these albums from iCloud without having to remake them all again on my PC? Or does anyone know of another photo viewing app on for Windows that will do a better job of recognizing Albums from iCloud? Currently, the Photos can app can only recognize cloud contents from OneDrive.
Since the other source will come from your local folder, it has to be sorted per album as well. If you feel that this feature needs to be added on Photos app click Send a feedback from Photos app's settings. Still trying to figure out a way to have everything show up in a Photo viewer app for Windows where it retains the albums that i have organized in iCloud.
Download album from icloud can only view by year on the Mac you can view by videos only, smart albums, location, etc. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. Are you saying that when you download from iCloud to the Pictures folders the albums aren't placed in separate folders? If so, is there any way to distinguish one album from the other?
